The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
